Do I need an account to submit a manuscript?
No account is required. Send your manuscript and supporting files to editor@rspfspuspbr.com.
How do I submit my paper for evaluation?
Send all articles and supporting files to editor@rspfspuspbr.com, then wait for the editorial decision. Review the Author Guidelines and submission checklist before sending.
Papers may be submitted in which languages?
Portuguese or English.
What is the maximum number of authors per research paper?
There is no limit of authors per research paper. The concept of authorship is based on substantial contribution of each author, regarding particularly the research project design, data analysis and interpretation, composition, and critical review. It is not necessary to include authors whose contribution do not meet the criteria abovementioned.
My research did not require Ethics Committee approval. What should I include?
You must include a letter justifying why the Committee approval was not necessary for your research.
What about the article formatting?
All the instructions are in the section “Instructions to authors” in the item “Manuscript Preparation”.
Which types of paper are published in the journal?
The journal publishes: Original papers, Review Papers, Commentaries, Brief Communications, and Letters to the Editor. Check on the RSP website in the section “Instructions to Authors”, the “Categories of Article” item.
What is the journal’s publication frequency?
There is no specific publication frequency. RSP adopted in 2015 the rolling pass system, which publishes papers after their editorial process is finished. Therefore, papers are no longer organized in fascicles.
Does the journal charge a submission fee?
No. The fee is charged only after the manuscript approval.
Does the journal charge a publication fee?
Yes, but after the manuscript is approved. It is charged US$ 1,200.00 for original papers, review papers, and commentaries, and US$ 1,200.00 for brief communications.
What is the submission period?
Papers can be submitted at any time.
